Pre-Baby Bucket List round up
You might remember my original Pre-Baby bucket list from back in July when baby's arrival seemed like a long way off.
Now that baby is here I wanted to revisit my intentions and see what we got up to over the last few months!
Eat out
We didn't do as much of this as I would have liked but we did enough! I think my next challenge will be getting out with the baby in tow.
Visit the cinema
We went once to see Brave and it was quite funny, unfortunately there wasn't a lot in the cinema we even fancied seeing and with the cost of it these days I wasn't happy doing it for the sake of it. We did watch quite a few DVD's and films at home though - no pausing, so I feel this was achieved!
Sort the Garden
We made progress but truthfully it's not completely sorted. We will keep plowing on but its going to take time!
Decorate/Personalise the baby room
Obviously we still didn't know come the end what gender our baby was, through the nursery series I feel like I added a few personal touches that I would still like to add to now that we know the name.
Build the blog plans
Interestingly I have used my maternity leave so far to make a lot of progress with the blog and building its readership, however I am reconsidering what I actually want this space to be about and I think this is something I will continue to debate for a while because I can and dont need to make a decision yet!
Hold a baby shower
I didn't even manage to have the mixed barbecue I was considering because I didn't get myself organised and I just felt like it wasn't something I would actually like to do.
Wedding cards
Anyone following me on instagram knows I have been successful in finding time to do this and I am so relieved it is done!
Overall, I think we did pretty well to achieve the things we wanted to. I think I might like to make another little bucket list type of thing for my intentions with the baby - trying baby sign and massage for example, but I think for now getting to know each other is the best priority.

Living the high life
Aww Saturday was just such a lovely day, in fact the whole weekend was lovely. Andy and I have spent some good time together eating, laughing, playing and enjoying each others company.

Yummy chinese lunch
In the afternoon we went to the cinema and saw that Brave, it was so sweet being in a cinema listening to the little children enjoying the film. Some parts were good and funny even for adult humor, overall a worthwhile film to see. It was on my pre-baby bucket list to go to the cinema and I am grateful to Andy for checking that one off!
In the evening we went to see my mum and my sister turned up with her friend - a lovely little lady I hadn't seen in nearly 3 years so it was nice to see her and chat with her too. Mum made a good roast but we couldn't eat so much because of eating sweets at the cinema :S!!
Sunday we had a nosey around a little carboot sale, we left empty handed on this occasion but we did make the mistake of leaving it quite late to go. In the next field there were some Alpacas, we didn't get in so close to see them but aww.
Then we went to a nearby garden centre and had a look around - so many fish! I never realised this place had so many!
Tonight we are planning a good ol' relax, watching some trash on the telly and a good soak of my swollen muma feet.
Let me tell you, I am looking forward to having this baby but I hope weekends like this still happen - maybe minus the cinema and substituted with a park but time with Andy is always my favourite.

Pre-Baby Bucket List - An idea from WinterLove
I saw Natalie's list the other week and I thought that it was quite a cute idea to do. So this is my equivalent....
As this is our first we have no idea what is in store for us yet so this list might sound as though I have given up on life after a baby (we just don't know what its like yet!)
Eat out
We used to eat out quite often, then we got a hold of our budget and decided we would be better for now to wean ourselves off of eating out so often and saving the money for maternity leave. I would like to have at least one lovely evening with Andy somewhere we love without worrying about baby stuff.
Visit the cinema
A lot of people have said that they visited the cinema quite often before their baby's were born and this seems like a good idea to me because I doubt we will get to go much once the baby is here. Similarly I would like to watch whatever DVD's we fancy before having to tend to a baby ppart way through.
Sort the Garden
Andy has been working hard at the garden all of this year so far and the sleeper wall is nearly there. Once the wall has been built we will be turning over the grassy bank and planting some creeper plants to give it some stability. Really I want it to be as self maintaining a possible for the first year or so.
Decorate/Personalise the baby room
Which is very difficult to do because we don't know what we are having!! But I want to make sure the baby room looks as though the room belongs to someone special who is loved :)
Build the blog plans
By having some features I am hoping I can keep the blog going whilst I take some time for the baby whilst still managing to grow things here.
Hold a baby shower
A small gathering of men and women - not just girls I am afraid, I think I am quite obvious in how much I want Andy included in every part of my life. I am hoping it will be a barbeque and be quite informal without too much focus on me.
Wedding cards
I volunteered to make Andy's cousins wedding stationery and I really need to get them made before the baby arrives just to make sure I give them the proper attention.
Whether I manage all of these plans who knows! But its nice to state my intentions and try to make some plans come to fruition. Some of these things have to get done so I am sure I will be back with pictures!
